this chemical is used to combat infestations of insects such as metalmites. It is sold under the brand name CorTrehan. It must be laid out in such a way that the insects can move around it, but encounter it wherever they feed. The most often used pattern is a series of curlicues leading to a central food source. It has a thick, sweet-sour smell, and takes almost two weeks to effectively kill off a metalmite brood.
