Beam Cannon
developed by the Old Republic and used briefly as a weapon aboard the IFT-T hover tank, the beam cannon was a laser weapon that produced an exceptionally strong beam of energy. It wasn't the strength of this beam that made it unusual, however. The beam produced by the beam cannon could pass through multiple targets before dissipating, which allowed the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic to strafe the weapon across an advancing force, killing or destroying more than just the front line of attackers.
