this was the generic term used to describe any repulsorlift engine that was designed to carry a load of cargo behind it. Tow-motors were given simply instructions by an operator, but were otherwise automated. Little more than the engine itself and a set of connection points, the tow-motor was attached to a flatbed or cargo bin, which it dragged along behind it.
