Ministry of Industry
this was one of the primary branches of the government of the Tion Hegemony, during the early years of the New Order. Like much of the Tion Hegemony during this time, the Ministry of Industry was unable to keep up with the demands of the modern galaxy, especially during the upheaval that followed the Clone Wars and the establishment of the Empire. The Ministry's officers fell woefully behind in their work, which allowed many unscrupulous corporations to take advantage of the situation. The Ministry of Industry began to allow mining permits to be issued, but lacked the manpower to investigate the operations, which allowed these corporations enough time to strip a planet of its natural resources and abandon it before the Ministry could apprehend them.
