Smuggler's Turn
originally attributed to smugglers who plied the spacelanes, this maneuver involved turning a vehicle on its axis with a quick burst of speed and a hard crank on the steering vane. The vehicle would then spin end-for-end, enabling the pilot to quickly reverse course. The maneuver was much easier to accomplish with a landspeeder, but skilled pilots could do it in a small starship.
