this was a speciallized combat protocol that was programmed into the Bugcruncher Droids produced by Tendrando Arms during the years following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. BAM stood for "By Any Means," and freed the war droids to use whatever means necessary to obtain their objectives. In order to activate BAM Status, a code phrase or other authorization was required from the droid's owner.
