Membrosia
this thick, amber-colored liquor was produced by the Colony. It was as potent as it was sweet, and made most beings feel warm throughout their entire bodies. Pure membrosia was produced by a bantha-sized variant of the Kind, and was exuded as a dark fluid from their swollen abdomen. Workers then consumed the fluid and processed it internally, further refining the membrosia into small, waxy balls that were deposited from their own abdomens. The balls were then transported throughout the hive, and were later heated to the melting point and served as a beverage. In the years following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, a more potent variety of membrosia - known simply as black membrosia - was produced by the Gorog hive.
