Mapping Skiff
developed by Koensayr during the years following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, a mapping skiff was a small, intra-system craft that could enter a planet's atmosphere and do preliminary mapping of terrain and ecosystem before returning to a mother ship. These vessels were used primarily by large corporations, such as RePlanetHab, since they could afford the cost of an additional vessel. However, it made their claims to a planetary discovery much more detailed than those of independent explorers. After the business of searching for new planets became more cutthroat, Koensayr began arming their mapping skiffs, as per orders from RePlanetHab.
