this building was donated to Luke Skywalker and his new Jedi order by the Reconstruction Authority of the Galactic Alliance, during the years following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. Located on Coruscant, the new Temple was ostensibly a gift from the government, although most Jedi understood that it was more of a propaganda effort than an actual gift. The Reconstruction Authority had been working to move the center of the galaxy's government back to Coruscant, in an effort to restore the former order of the New Republic. Although Master Skywalker graciously accepted the gift of the new Temple, he did not immediately move the Jedi order's operations from Ossus to Coruscant. In shape, the new Jedi Temple was a gelaming pyramid of stone and transparisteel, and was considered by many to have been one of the most beautiful examples of Rebirth architecture.
