this planet was one of many that were discovered by Han Solo and his wife, Leia Organa Solo, during the years that followed the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. The Solos were hoping to provide the planet to the dishomed Ithorians of the galaxy, but their claim was stolen by raiders from the RePlanetHab corporation. Much of the planet was covered with dense forests, through which spires of yorik coral grew in ominous fingers. However, left to its own devices after the defeat of the Yuuzhan Vong, Borao's natural underbrush took hold and covered much of the yorik coral with vines and other lianas. When the Solos were forced to turn over the location of a planet they had discovered in the Unknown Regions as a new nesting place for the hives of the Colony that lived on the moons of Qoribu, Leia demanded that Cal Omas repeal RePlanetHab's claim to Borao, so that it could finally be turned over to the Ithorians.
