an electrically-charged metal mesh used to immobilze a target, Conner nets come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Large Conner nets are used to detain ships, by dropping the net onto a ship and allowing the net to weld itself to their hulls. Smaller nets can be placed in passageways and triggered with motion sensors to drop onto intruders. This is a much less humane use, of course.
