Force-bubble
this was a small, self-contained storage system that used a miniature force-field generator to create a sphere of energy around an object. Depending on the size of the generator, the force-bubble could contain any sort of object. Because the force-bubble produced a localized field of energy with a constant shape, the repelling power of the force field was often more powerful that the shields of a starship.
