this was a technology developed for military training, during the last decades of the Old Republic. The VABS, as it was often referred to, was contained in a kilometers-wide structure that allowed for the artificial simulation of various planetary environments and battlefield conditions. The structure of the facility that housed the VABS contained various repulsorlift-equipped floor and wall panels that allowed for simulation of different gravitational environments.
