this young Jedi was not generally considered a candidate for promotion to the level of Jedi Knight by his instructors, during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. He consistently finished in the lower percentages of his class, although he excelled in the areas of law and diplomacy. His unorthodox approach to lightsaber combat often resulted in defeat, but he sometimes managed to defeat a stronger opponent with a quick, powerful thrust at the beginning of a duel. Upon achieving the rank of Knight, Micoda was assigned to the Diplomatic Corps, but he was thrust into combat when the Battle of Geonosis took place. He was among the few Jedi still at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant when Mace Windu put together the task force that was sent to Geonosis. Unfortunately, Micoda's lightsaber skills were not up to the task of fighting against multiple enemies at once, and he was killed in the arena early in the fighting.
