this infectious disease was believed to have originated on Cyborrea. During the height of the New Order, many sentient, non-human beings were detained by Imperial forces on the suspicion that they were infected with Cyborrean rabies, although these charges often proved false, little more than a way to unnecessarily detain a member of an alien species.
