Grendel
this wing-clipped hornagaunt was a constant companion of the assassin droid 8t88, during theearly years of the New Republic. After 8t88's head was removed by the Sith minion Pic, Grendel decided to eat it, only to come face-to-face with Kyle Katarn. Katarn was searching for the droid to discover the whereabouts of the Valley of the Jedi, and was forced to cut open each of Grendel's three stomachs in order to retrieve the head.
