Polyplast
this thin, flexible material was developed during the Clone Wars by Old Republic scientists and engineers. Because it was liquid when stored under pressure, polyplast could be transported with relative ease aboard military vessels. When sprayed out, however, polyplast formed durable ropes that could be used by clone troopers to repel onto battlefields. The polyplast cords could then be discarded when the landing craft lifted off again, eliminating the possibility of enemy forces entering the landing craft by a trailing line.
