according to Old Republic historians, the Unification Wars were fought some 25,000 years before the Clone Wars, and resulted in the formation of the Old Republic itself. It was believed that the ancient Bendu augmented the forces of the fledgling Jedi Order to overcome the forces of evil to help the Republic's founders win the wars.
