this Polis Massan was one of the many members of the archaeological team that was investigating the ancient civilization of the sundered world of Polis Massa, during the last years of the Old Republic. Maneeli Tuun was trained as a physician, and served the archaeological team as a doctor and surgeon. He was also a strong supporter of the ideals of the Old Republic, and often assisted the Jedi Order with certain missions during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. Thus, when Padme' Amidala was brought to Polis Massa by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Maneeli Tuun was on duty to assist in helping her deliver her twin babies. Many months later, he was forced to submit to the demands of Inquisitor Sancor, but he knew that he could never turn over all of Polis Massa's records to the Imperial agent. Maneeli Tuun destroyed what evidence he could, then provided only the minimum to Sancor in order to keep information on Padme's presence on Polis Massa a secret. After Sancor was killed while fighting Obi-Wan, Maneeli Tuun remained behind to cover up Sancor's death, and further safeguard any information on Padme' and the Jedi Order.
