this band of thugs was based on the planetoid known as Dantooine's Second Star during the early years of the New Order. Although the Velocity Mercenaries tended to keep to themselves, the arrival of the Empire in the Dantooine System forced them to actively patrol the 7-IK region of the Ferionic Nebula and vigorously defend their home.
