this was the second of the IG-100 MagnaGuard droids that was given to General Grievous as a bodyguard. IG-102 was denoted by its silver coloration. During the First Battle of Coruscant, IG-102 lost both of its legs to Obi-Wan Kenobi aboard the Invisible Hand, during a battle with the Jedi Master. Although IG-102 kept on fighting, Kenobi eventually severed all of its limbs and reduced it to a worthless pile of scrap.
