this was the callsign of the clone commando who was part of the squad assigned to protect Lorca Oviedo to a conference on Aviles Prime, during the height of the Clone Wars. On the return trip from Aviles Prime, RC-1080 and his comrades became expendable when Oviedo tried to fake an attack by Separatist forces near Asturias. RC-1080 was the pilot of one of the escort ships, and was badly injured in the attack. Although Theta-288 managed to return with Oviedo under arrest, RC-1080 died from his injuries just before they reached Coruscant.
