this was a generic term used to describe any repulsor-powered vehicle designed to fight fires. Several forms of fire speeders were produced, depending on the environment in which they were to be used. Larger models were produced to put out fires on burning starships at landing strips, while relatively smaller versions were used to fight fires in buildings.
