this was the name given to the innermost portion of The Ring, which formed the core of the settlement of Bartyn's Landing, on the planet Lamaredd. As its name implied, the Center Sphere was covered by a protective sphere that kept out most of the weather experienced in Bartyn's Landing. The center of the Sphere was open to the sky, however, allowing for natural sunlight and fresh air to enter the Sphere.
