Supreme Council
this was the name of the governing body that controlled the planet Skye. A Patriarch was elected to lead the Council, with each Patriarch ruling for no more than forty-two years. The Patriarch was alternately chosen from the Highland and Lowland Clans. The Outlander Clan had a single representative on the Council, but this representative could never serve as Patriarch. The forty-two-year term represented the forty-two unique clans in each group.
