this exploration vessel was owned and operated by the Intergalactic Zoological Society during the final decades of the Old Republic. Like many other ships owned by the IZS, the Titavian IV was a floating collection of lifeforms that had been gathered from across the galaxy, in the hopes of preserving some species and investigating other. The ship was based out of Mycroft, but it was attacked and left adrift during the last stages of the Clone Wars. It was unclear whether the ship had been attacked by privateers or Separatists, but an outdated distress signal used by the Jedi Order was received from the Titavian IV by Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was surprised to find Quinlan Vos aboard ths ship, fighting off a collection of repulsor-equipped morp droids. Vos revealed that he was being tracked by Asajj Ventress and Tol Skorr, and had tried to hide out in the ship's abandoned hulk. Ventress and Skorr managed to find him, but Vos' own ship was damaged, and he was forced to fight for his freedom. He agreed to explain his situation to Obi-Wan if they were able to escape from the Dark Jedi.
