Homeworld Security Command
this branch of the Old Republic government was charged with ensuring that Coruscant itself was made safe for its citizens and the politicians who lived and worked on the planet. Homeworld Security worked closely with the armed forces to ensure proper orbital and ground-based security teams were on constant alert, to head off any threat to the planet's normal routines. The members of the Homeworld Security team were shocked and amazed when they found themselves unprepared for General Grievous' attack on the planet, during what turned out to be the final battle of the Clone Wars.
