this small group of mining and processing operations was based on the Escarte asteroid and its surrounding asteroid field, which was located at the Rimward end of the Perlemian Trade Route. The Guild owned the rights to the entire asteroid field, which was located between two massive gas giant planets. The gravity fields generated by these planets collected all manner of stray debris over the eons, and it was believed that the destruction of some of the moons had formed the largest portion of the asteroid field. The Guild established itself on the asteroid known as Escarte some seventeen years before the onset of the Clone Wars, and extracted every bit of useful ore from the asteroid in just over a decade.
