this three-winged, droid starfighter was produced for the Confederacy of Independent Systems by the Colla Designs - part of the Colicoid Creation Nest - and Phlac-Arphocc Automata Industries during the height of the Clone Wars. These craft were distinguished by their shape, but also by the eerie, red "eyes" of the craft's sensor systems. A central sphere held the main droid brain and the drive system, while three curved wings wrapped around the sphere to give the fighter craft its name. The front of each wing was notched to house a laser cannon, and a fourth cannon was mounted on the front of the central sphere. The overall design of the Tri-fighter was based on the skull of a prehistoric hunter-killer that was once native to Colla IV. The ship was powered by three separate thrusters, giving it incredible manevuerability and speed. The 5.4-meter-long Tri-fighter was armed with a medium laser cannon mounted on the main sphere, a light laser cannon mounted on each wing, and a buzz-droid missile launcher.
