this unusual tree was grown by the Tusken Raiders of the planet Tatooine, in secret oases where it was hidden from prying eyes. The Tusken Raiders maintained small grove of tracti trees so that they could harvest its wood, which was often used to create the stocks and barrels of their primitive rifles.
