this was the name given to the set of ethics and ideals maintained by the ancient Mandalorian Crusaders. The Canons were put in place to ensure that warriors helped other warriors to achieve personal glory through combat and loyalty. It was generally believed that the original Canons were deeply religious in nature, but over time they became more focused on the aspects of combat and killing.
