this star exploded into a brilliant nova several years before the onset of the Clone Wars. The cruise ship Stardust had made a special journey to witness the event, but its crew had not anticipated the force of the shockwave the explosion generated. The ship's artificial gravity systems were destroyed, and many of the passengers were injured or killed.
