Gemcutter
this was a form of device that was developed by Carbanti United Electronics during the height of the Clone Wars, although it never saw full production. The gemcutter was used to counteract the effects of a starship that was traveling through hyperspace while cloaked, registering the tear in the space-time continuum like a seismigraph as the cloaked ship reverted to realspace. The gemcutter technology was only in its developmental stages at the time its prototype was stolen - by the Separatists - and production was halted when it turned up missing.
