Gaping Spider
this species of large arachnid was native to the planet Dathomir, where it inhabited several warrens of caves and caverns. It was said that a clan of Nightsisters, later known as the Spider Clan, took over one of these caves and was actually able to control the smaller gaping spiders, forcing them to do their bidding. Only the largest of the gaping spiders was able to resist the Nightsisters, who in turn feared the large insects that lived deep belowground.
