this clan of Dathomirian Nightsisters was named for the fact that they lived in a cave that was originally inhabited by gaping spiders. Legends told that the Nightsisters were able to twist many of the smaller gaping spiders to do their bidding, and only the largest of the spiders was able to resist them.
