a member of the New Republic's Intelligence Agency, Claris was part of the team sent to Verkuyl with Cobb Vartos and Selby Jarrad to help liberate the planet from Imperial control some three years after the Battle of Endor. However, he was captured before he and his team could set up and detonate their explosives, planted at the capital's main communications station. After the Republic fleet came to Verkuyl, a second wave of agents liberated Claris and his team from the Imperial prison.
