this unusual variant of the Imperial TIE Fighter was designed to bridge the gap between the TIE Bomber and the TIE Interceptor. The elongated, bent wings of the TIE Advanced were reused on the TIE Oppressor to provide stability, while a third wing was mounted horizontally at the rear.
