this was one of the different subspecies of wraid that lived in the deserts of Tatooine, many millennia before the Galactic Civil War. The skull of the desert wraid was incredibly dense and strong, and was used by Tusken Raiders as a piece of armor. The bone itself was believed to have medicinal value, although no complete analysis was ever done.
