this was the name given to the period of time following the Great Sith War, when the Jedi Knights hunted down the surviving Sith devotees and tried to eliminate them. Among the primary targets of the Jedi hunters were the terentateks and other Sith-spawned creatures that were set loose upon the galaxy.
