this being was one of the many ancient Sith apprentices who were training at the academy on Korriban, four millennia before the Battle of Yavin. Despite his choice to train on Korriban, Kel had doubts about the true nature of the Sith. Kel admitted this to his comrades, some of whom were actually Jedi Knights who had infiltrated the academy. The Jedi later implored Kel to leave the academy, and he found himself torn between loyalties. Upon learing that the Jedi had killed both Uthar Wynn and Yuthura, Algowinn found himself caught amidst an enraged group of students who set off after the Jedi. However, the Sith apprentices were no match for the Jedi, and Algowinn was quickly killed in the fighting.
