this was one of the many crystals used by the ancient Jedi Knights in the construction of a lightsaber. It was believed to have given the wielder the ability to stun an opponent with the blade, helping to put a quick end to a possibly dangerous fight. Bondar crystals were mined from an asteroid that once orbited the planet Alderaan.
