this handheld weapon was developed by the Imperial armed forces during the early years of the New Republic. It was created to fire a spray of metallic bolts, instead of coherent laser energy, making it an extermely destructive weapon. The Heavy Repeater could be upgraded to have a concussion grenade launcher mounted on the underside of the barrel for added impact.
