this reconnaissance droid was produced by Arakyd during the early years of the New Order. The primary mission of the R-4 droid, like that of other series before it, was to infiltrate a remote location and send tactical coordinates back to a weapons emplacement, allowing for pinpoint targetting across great distances, without sacrificing an organic team to make the journey.
