Jetz
this form of sanctioned combat was popular during the last decades of the Old Republic, and was noted more for its strategy than its brutality. In a jetz match, combatants squared off against each other in a small ring, and spent most of their time searching for weaknesses or mannerisms that could be used to upset their opponents. In many cases, a jetz match was decided on the first fall, so technique and speed often won out over strength and size.
