Geonosis Square
this was one of the many tactics developed by the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic in the wake of the Battle of Geonosis. For most of that battle, the clone troopers were severely outnumbered by battle droids of all kinds, forcing them to improvise on ways to survive the fighting. The Geonosis Square was a defensive tactic in which four or more troopers arranged themselves in such a way that they minimized the impact of both aggressive and defensive fire. It was virtually impossible to penetrate unless fire was concentrated on a single individual.
