this former TIE Fighter pilot was promoted by Admiral Piett to the rank of Admiral, shortly before Piett recruited him to serve as the deep-space communications expert aboard the Executor during the Battle of Endor. Like the rest of the crew of the Executor, Chiraneau died when the ship crashed into the surface of the second Death Star.
