this was a common name among Cerean females. Unlike their male counterparts, Cerean females use a single name unless they became a bond-wife. In this case, a female will take on their husband's grandfather's name for official matters. The name Gidd referred to a female warrior who, according to Cerean mythology, traveled from the stars.
