this crimelord controlled a portion of Coruscant's underworld during the years following the Battle of Naboo. Much of his criminal organization was hidden behind Haug Nerf Industries, a legitimate nerf packaging warehouse that was located near the entertainment district. Haug's operations were allowed a measure of freedom due to his relationship with Senator Trell, who helped fund the import of tainted death sticks from Malastare. Jango Fett sought out Groff Haug to question his connections to the Bando Gora cult, but arrived too late when he discovered that his old nemesis, Montross, had already found Haug. Haug, hoping to avoid any trouble, told Montross that the Bando Gora was to be found in the Gazzari System. This turned out to be a lie, prompting Montross to kill Haug and have him frozen. When Fett arrived to interrogate Haug, Montross presented his rival with Haug's frozen body.
