this was the only spaceport found on the planet Aduba-3. It was originally just an open collection of spaces alloted at random on a flat patch of stable desert sand. When the false chromium rush brought prospectors and mininf operations to the planet, a control tower was erected to help navigate the increasing numbers of starships at the spaceport. After the mines were abandoned, the control tower was no longer needed, and was also abandoned. Coordination of the spaceport's activities was delegated to a half-functioning PK-series droid, which only seemed to be concerned with the operational status of the spaceport's landing beacon. Because of this situation, shipjacking was a common occurrence, as well as a variety of thefts.
