the history of this chalcedony idol was shrouded in mystery. During the early years of the New Republic, rumors and legends of the Tessent began to spring up throughout the Moddell Sector of the galaxy, after the Imperial presence in the galaxy was removed. It was believed to have been buried on Ast Kikorie, in the tomb of a Dark Jedi, or hidden in a mine on Vasha. These tales and many others drew treasure seekers to the Moddell Sector throughout the era of the New Order, but the Tessent was never found. As more and more lore about the Tessent became known, it was revealed that there were actually two Tessents. Both appeared to be birds with feline heads, but one was attributed to the Ayrou of Maya Kovel, while the other was a representation of the guardian of the ancient Kings of Archais who united Alsakan under a common leader. The Alsakan Tessent was a symbol of patriotism, although many treasure hunters believed that it was also the key to unlocking an ancient storehouse full of riches. Modern rumors pointed to the presence of at least one of the Tessents somewhere in the Kuna systems located in Moddell Sector.
